At last night’s East Bangor Borough Council meeting, Council formally accepted the Mayor‑elect’s resignation. Due to employment‑related restrictions, the Mayor‑elect is unable to assume the office, and a vacancy now exists in the Office of Mayor of East Bangor Borough.
In accordance with Pennsylvania Borough Code, Council is responsible for appointing a qualified resident to fill this position.
Residents interested in being considered for appointment are invited to submit a letter of interest.
