Notice is hereby given that proposed Ordinance No. 1-2026 will be considered by the Council of the Borough of East Bangor, County of Northampton, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, at its regular meeting to be held on April 7, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at 30 E. Central Avenue, East Bangor, PA 18013.
The title of the proposed Ordinance 1-2026 is as follows:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOROUGH OF EAST BANGOR, NORTHAMPTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, AMENDING SECTION 84, TITLED PERMITS, OF PART 6, TITLED YARD SALES, OF CHAPTER XII, TITLED LICENSES, PERMITS AND GENERAL BUSINESS REGULATIONS, OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE BOROUGH OF EAST BANGOR FOR THE PURPOSE OF ALLOWING YARD SALES TO BE HELD ON SUNDAYS.
The text of the proposed Ordinance 1-2026 may be summarized as follows: The proposed Ordinance amends the Code of Ordinances to permit yard sales to be held on Sundays. The proposed Ordinance repeals all conflicting ordinances.
Proposed Ordinance 1-2026 shall be available for public inspection and examination at the office of the Borough Secretary at 555 W. Central Avenue, East Bangor, PA 18013, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, by appointment by calling 610-588-4656.
